10 July 2016

The Conservation and Environmental Protection Authority (CEPA) has now issued an environmental permit for the development of Mayur Powers EEP at the Lae Tidal basin site. “This is very exciting news and a major milestone for the development of the Lae EEP project whereby we are one step closer to providing Lae with access to cheaper, more reliable and environmentally sustainable electricity supply” said Mr Paul Mulder “our team have been working closely with CEPA to provide the requisite technical detail on the performance of the power station, we will be using not only clean coal, but also clean emissions technology, and these emissions conditions are the best and most stringent to be applied in PNG”.
