Renewables

Mayur is developing a portfolio of opportunities that will enable the de- carbonisation of Mayur’s flagship projects and provide significant surplus green energy and nature based carbon credits to serve the massive demand for renewables and the race to net zero.

Three key focus areas

Nature Based Carbon Offsets

Solar and battery storage

Geothermal

Nature Based
Carbon Offsets

7 REDD+ Carbon Credit Offset Projects targeted across PNG,
covering 1.4 million hectares.

Signing of a Heads of Agreement with the Papua New Guinea
Forest Authority (PNGFA) and Landowner Consents.

Signing of a Tripartite Agreement with relevant Landowner groups
and PNGFA.

Change Development Authority.

Solar and Geothermal

Mayur maintains its dedication to the future development of its 500MW solar renewable energy opportunity within the CLP’s SEZ.

The electricity generated through this initiative will serve multiple purposes, including meeting the energy demands of the CLP itself, catering to the broader Special Economic Zone, and potentially providing power to the national power grid.

Mayur's geothermal licences are still currently being assessed in what are regarded as some of the most prospective geothermal areas in PNG, PNG being ranked in the top five countries globally for geothermal energy opportunities. (Not pictured to the left).
